Happy Birthday Dennis!!
So, here I am, back at work. Why is it so freakin' hard to go back to work after having a few days off? It's like my entire rhythm is completely whacked.

Not much time today. Tons to do since I haven't been here since Thursday. And we have some meeting we have to go to today, which cuts even more time out of my blogging schedule.

So, recap:

Superbowl: Glad the Giants won - imagine a wild card team beating an undefeated team!
Half Time Show: Boring. Even more boing than my blog. I like Tom Petty, but come on! ZZZZ
Commercials: Lame. A couple cute ones but that's as far as it goes
Bellichick: I probably didn't spell his name right, but who cares. He's a dick.
Eli Manning: Maybe, now, he'll finally be taken as seriously as his brother

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DENNIS!! I LOVE YOU!!

I think he's having a little bit of a tough time with this one this year. Turning 40 does that to you I suppose. So, yesterday, we went out to lunch with his mom, sister, and brother in law. Of course, we went to his sisters favorite place - not even a place that Dennis likes but whenever his sister is around she obviously calls the shots. Honestly, if it's your birthday shouldn't you get to choose where you're going to?

Then we went into a little music store in Antioch to see if they needed any guitar teachers. The guy that works there (not the owner - he's always unavailable) was a complete dick. He asks Dennis if he has a music degree. Ummm, nope. How about an education degree? Ummm, nope again. Then he says, "Oh, we only take educated teachers.". What the fuck? Get over yourselves assholes! You're a tiny little music store and there wasn't a single customer or student there while we were there - or any time we've been there come to think of it. Now, I have to ask you, if you have a degree in music or education would you honestly want to go teach guitar in some crappy little music store like that? I seriously think not. I just looked at the guy and said, "Good luck with that!".

Anyway, I gotta get to work here. Times burning up and I have a whole shitload of stuff sitting here waiting for me to get it all done. Before 10:30.

Yea, I know. Good luck with that!

YAY! That last touchdown the Giants got at the end was so cool. I was LMAO at the Patriots! Those last few minutes was just about all of the game I actually watched. We glanced at the score at the end of each quarter, but that was about it. I was too busy talking to my sisters.

I did see the half time show with Tom Petty and as boring as it might have seemed I did enjoy it. I think they have been very conservative about the half time show ever since the Janet/Justin debacle. I can't remember there being any pop stars since that time.

I didn't really see too many of the commercials either. I was definitely more into eating and talking during this game. LOL! I did wear my Walter Payton jersey and said I was rooting for the Bears. *snort*

Aww, that sucks that Dennis didn't get to choose his restaurant for his birthday. Make sure you take him out for dinner today wherever he wants to go. However, you might have to make it a local one because of another big storm coming. Ugh. I am so done with winter.

    Happy Birthday Dennis!!!

    Well Happy Birthday Dennis!

And Sue, I am with you....I was totally bored by the half time show. And now all the Southern Baptists around here in NC have their panties in a wad about the arrow that went through the heart at the beginning of the show. They say it was repulsive because it looked like a penis! I mean, come on, fuckers! It's Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - give me a break and go have a drink!

Anyway, I thought about you this weekend. What did you and Dennis decide to do for his birthday over the weekend? I am sure you gave him a very niccceeee present ;)

Ok, I have to run too, but hope everyone enjoyed the Superbowl and didn't drink nearly as much as I did!

    Happy Birthday Dennis!

I SO agree with you on Tom Petty. I posted something to the Newbs yesterday about it lacking entertainment and they thought I was crazy for the most part. Glad to see someone else that likes Tom Petty thought it was boring. I mean the music and singing was good, but come on, it is the Superbowl, bring on some excitement!

Hope you have a great day!

We didn't really do a whole lot for his birthday (which is actually today) mostly due to the weather. But we did hang out a lot and had some fun together.

He's supposed to have band practice tonight (if the weather holds up) and it's also going to be a birthday celebration. But, if it falls thru due to the weather then I told him I'll make stead and crab legs for dinner tonight.

    So we'll see....

    Thanks everybody!

Oh, and, yea, I've been to Tom Petty concerts and I don't ever remember it being THAT boring! *S* I guess being there and watching it on TV are two very different things.
